Description
The North Mississippi Allstars is a Southern rock/blues band from Hernando, Mississippi, United States, founded in 1996. The band is composed of two brothers, Luther Dickinson (guitar, loewbow vocals) and Cody Dickinson (drums, keyboards, electric washboard, vocals) and Carl Dufrene on bass. The band backs and tours with John Hiatt. Luther Dickinson joined the Black Crowes in 2007 as lead guitarist and currently devotes his time to both the Black Crows and the North Mississippi Allstars. Luther and Cody Dickinson’s father was Jim Dickinson, a musician and record producer. Jim Dickinson released music in his own name and worked with Ry Cooder, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones.
